Prisma Music was founded in 2004 by Johan Dokter. Over the years he had written and arranged many music for brass, mostly sextet. He invited a few of his friends to bring all their music together they had written so far and had not published somewhere else and donate it to Prisma Music.
Reason for founding Prisma Music was that they noticed that many choirs, bands and ensembles do not have enough money to buy origional good music. Prisma Music decided to write music for free.  Nowadays they write music for everbody from championsections to beginners.
Prisma Music started in 2004 with 3 members and has increased to 8 members.

In 2009 they celebrated their 5th anniversary. They hope to serve all the musicians with free music for at least 5 more years and hopefuly longer!
